Total Accounting and Bookkeeping Solutions (“TAABS”) is a rapidly growing accounting solutions provider based in southern California. As the Head of Talent for Total Accounting and Bookkeeping Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization-wide talent management and development initiatives. You will be responsible for designing and managing end-to-end employee lifecycle including recruiting strategy, employee training programs, and performance evaluations. Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the company by ensuring that we find and retain the best candidates who align to our core values. The ideal candidate needs to be process-oriented, a strong communicator, and be the company’s greatest cheerleader!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the full recruitment process and build a robust candidate pipeline to attract the right candidates

  • Conduct HR screens and initial interviews with candidates

  • Collaborate with cross-functional staff, VP of Operations and CEO to manage hiring needs that support the company’s growth plans

  • Promote the company’s strong reputation and career opportunities through online recruiting platforms, university career centers and social media

  • Lead the development of robust onboarding and training programs for new employees to effectively integrate them into the Company

  • Drive the bi-annual employee performance evaluations and performance improvement initiatives

  • Develop employee retention and career mentorship programs

  • Work with leadership to develop career paths for staff and adjust organization structure to support the company’s growth

  • Drive and maintain the company’s supportive culture as the company continues to grow

  • Manage and support HR processes including payroll, benefits administration, and ad hoc HR needs

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a talent acquisition and full-cycle recruiting

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing talent hiring and development strategies that aligns with the company culture

  • Proven track record of delivering a high-level candidate recruiting experience with superior

  • Experience managing recruiting efforts with multiple sources including university career centers, career social media platforms and recruiting agencies

  • Impeccable listening, verbal, written communication skills

  • Loves being organized and implementing systems to work smarter, not harder

  • Experience collaborating with others to document key processes using learning & development best practices

  • Proficient with applicant tracking and recruiting systems

  • Experience in managing general HR functions

  • Role focus breakdown approximately as:

    ○ 40% Recruiting & hiring

    ○ 30% Learning & development (e.g. onboarding/ training definition process improvement)

    ○ 30% Ongoing HR management
